Upon noticing the Moonlight Boy's searching gaze, Guts asks his companions to take the child to Casca.
The swordsman returns carrying the child to his companions, and Schierke concludes that the boy's arrival confirms he is the Flower Storm Monarch in an assumed form, though almost immediately after, the Flower Storm Monarch, Danan, herself arrives, disproving Schierke's theory.
Guts questions why the Moonlight Boy has arrived in Elfhelm, and the child in turn climbs Guts' back and sits atop his shoulders. With the Moonlight Boy's arrival in Elfhelm, the Black Swordsman Party is afforded extended time to bond with the child, though the conclusion of the child's visit reveals a shocking twist regarding the nature of his existence.
